Head

The head is the visible symbol that serves as identification of the luthier, reason why it can be said that it is sort of a signature that will let us know who has made the guitar

Neck

The neck must be as comfortable as possible to facilitate playability throughout. It is shaped so it is comfortable for every guitar player; its shape not to flat, not to round on the back improves comfort greatly and eases playability even in prolonged playing. Inside it is reinforced to avoid problems throughout the life of the guitar.

Sides

This is the part of the guitar that surrounds the body of the instrument. The sides complete the guitar’s body, adding structural integrity and at the same time it helps in improving volume and power to the guitar always depending on the woods used, their calibration and the rigidity obtained.

Back

Just like the sides, the back, plays a very important role in the sound of the guitar. It is the surface where the sound bounces to be sent out the sound hole at great speed. All of these, are reasons why it must be put together very carefully gauging, calibrating and shaping it adequately for an improved sound reproduction.

Top

Maybe the most important part of the instrument; the top is the one that produces the sound through the vibration it acquires from the strings. It is the part that determines the quality of sound, always depending on the type of wood, stiffness, gauge and positioning of structural and harmonic braces.

Purfling

The purfling is an aesthetic feature that outlines and beautifies the body of the guitar with different colored decorations usually matching the rosette’s design.

Rosette

The rosette is a decorative feature around the sound hole that, just like the head, may identify the luthier that made the guitar because of their usually exclusive design unique to the specific guitar maker.

Fretboard

The Fretboard is the front of the neck where the strings are pressed to obtain the different notes. The wood of which it is made must meet certain quality requirements because it may suffer wear with time and at the same time it reinforces the neck helping it withstand the pressure the strings impose on it.
